There is a lot of outdoor activities that you can do in Flamingo, including:
- Sportfishing: Fishing Playa Flamingo Costa Rica is known for the excellence and great variety of its fish. Among the fish that we can find are: sailfish, marlin, roosterfish, mahi mahi, tuna, snapper, among others.
- Surfing: Flamingo is not a good spot for surfing, but it is close to some of the best areas in Costa Rica to practice this activity.
- Ollie’s Point at Playa Grande Potrero: this is a world-class right break that can run up to 300 yards.
- Tamarindo Beach: There are plenty of left and right surf breaks here to suit all tastes and experience levels.
- Witch’s Rock at Playa Naranjo: this is a world-class right break that can run up to 250 yards.
- Relaxation: you can have relaxing walks on the beach, do some snorkeling, enjoy the wonderful sunsets on the Pacific horizon or stay at your hotel enjoying the oceanfront view.

Offshore Fishing Tours: these are perfect for people who want to live a total adrenaline experience while going in search of bigger and more exotic fish that are mostly found in these areas. Here you can aim for the inshore fish plus: Marlin and Sailfish.

Flamingo is located at the northwest coast of Costa Rica along the Pacific Ocean.
It is 1 hour by car from the Daniel Oduber Quiros International Airport (LIR).
