These are some of the recommendations that we can give you so that you can enjoy the tour to the fullest:

  • Cap or hat.
  • Proper clothing.
  • You can travel with small children or babies.
  • Remember to bring sunscreen or suntan lotion.
  • It is advisable to carry motion sickness pills just in case.
  • Set aside with a deposit the desired boat for a specific date in advance.
  • Bring your cell phone to take photos and communicate with us to meet on the beach.
  • It is necessary that you carry the voucher on your cell phone or some document that identifies you in case a coast guard appears.
  • Buy a fishing license, licenses are required for both tourists and locals. If you don’t buy the fishing license, the officials can stop the tour and send you back to the beach.

Take into consideration the time when planning the trip. The year can be divided into 3 main seasons:

  • Dry season: December to April is dry. There is more tourism in coastal areas because the weather is special for outdoor activities and enjoying the beautiful beaches that Costa Rica has to offer.
  • High season: December and New Year. Normally there are more tourists and the prices of the tourist areas increase in the same way.
  • Rainy season: from May to November it is rainy. This is characterized by being sunny early and rainy in the afternoon and by being filled with green throughout the country. There is more tourism in wetlands because the climate is special for hiking and enjoying the beautiful tropical forests, flora and fauna that Costa Rica has to offer.

Costa Rica’s average temperature varies between 70 F and 80 F.

Take into consideration the types of fish you want to catch, the hours of the tour depend on this because some types of fish appear more frequently in areas further from the coast (offshore) and to reach that point more travel time is required.
